Located in London’s South Kensington, near William and Kate’s residence at Kensington Palace, the museum is renowned for its vast collection of decorative arts and design, boasting over 4.5 million objects.

The museum will host a satellite exhibition across its South Kensington premises featuring 16 iconic outfits worn by Swift throughout her career, titled “Taylor Swift | Songbook Trail.” This exhibit, running from July 27 to September 8, will showcase instruments, lyrics, and awards from Swift’s personal archive. Admission is free, coinciding with Swift’s upcoming performances at Wembley Stadium from August 15 to 20.

During the tour’s London kickoff on June 21, Swift celebrated Prince William’s 42nd birthday, and photos from their backstage meeting were shared on Kensington Palace and Swift’s social media. Princess Kate, currently undergoing treatment following a cancer diagnosis earlier this year, did not attend.

This event marks another meeting between Swift and Prince William since their charity gala encounter at Kensington Palace in 2013, where they joined Jon Bon Jovi on stage for a memorable karaoke rendition of “Livin’ on a Prayer.”

Kate Bailey, senior curator of theater and performance at the V&A, expressed excitement about showcasing Swift’s creativity and style in this upcoming exhibition, emphasizing how Swift’s songs and the museum’s artifacts converge to tell compelling stories.
